Pelham Chiropractic & Wellness Centre has invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that our healthcare facility and website is made easier to use and more accessible to people with special needs, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments. Our healthcare facility is committed to fostering a workplace culture rooted in respect and inclusivity. We prioritize accommodating our healthcare team's needs to prevent any form of discrimination based on the criteria outlined in the Canadian Human Rights Act. Our center actively supports individuals with disabilities and urges those in need of accommodation to openly communicate their requirements with our healthcare team. We are updating our facility and website regularly to make it as accessible as possible.
Accessibility
Pelham Chiropractic & Wellness Centre makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows Pelham Chiropractic & Wellness Centre to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0). Our team also uses tools such as, WAVE by WebAIM, Web Accessibility by Monsido, and other color contrast analyzers to ensure the best experience possible for all visitors.The site is being designed to meet Level AA Success Criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 to the greatest extent feasible.
Assistive Devices
Our healthcare facility permits persons with disabilities to use their personal assistive devices and/or personal support workers while on the facility premises.

Notice of Temporary Cancellation/Disruption
Our healthcare facility will notify persons with disabilities promptly via a recorded voicemail on our facility answering machine, or via our website www.pelhamchiropractic.ca in the event of a planned or unexpected disruption/cancellation of services at our facility. Patients may also tune into Newstalk 610 CKTB (CKTB-FM) or Niagara's MOVE 105.7 (CHRE-FM). Any such notice will be provided in accessible formats.
Training
Our facility has provided training to all of the healthcare team regarding the provisions and policies to ensure an accessible workplace environment that fosters improved services. As a healthcare team, we will review these policies and practices and training will occur on an ongoing basis whenever changes are made to relevant policies, practices, procedures, or in anticipation of compliance deadlines.
